Engine dying
Engine dying
I have a 1991 camaro with a mini ram intake and when the car gets too hot (around 215* F) it stalls out and i can't start it back up until it cools down to around 200* F. I have a wideband and when this happens the afr spikes to around 20 just before it dies. So it's either spark or fuel. I know it's not the fuel pump because i just put a new one in a few days ago. I have checked the fuel pressure at idle and it seems fine but i havent checked it when it stalls out cause it has only happened when i have been driving for a while and i dont have a interior gauge. At first i thought that the car might be having vapor lock problems and the fuel rails of the mini ram were getting too hot, but i called TPIS and they said they havent had any problems before. I was thinking about changing the plugs out to see if that helps but i dont know if thats necessary.

Re: Engine dying
make sure all your ignition components arent messed up, i dunno any case where fuel could change with heat but i can see resistance building somewhere in the electrical components causing it to stall
