Engine seized
Well my engine seized up today. It was acting wierd last night, the battery power went between 8 and 12 (hazard zone) then the radio power would stop when I hit the brakes, I got home right after that happen. Started up this morning it was fine but barely started, got half way to school then started acted up again. Got to school parked, turned it off heard a bubbling noise coming from under the hood, poped it and it was the coolant bottle bubbling up water
Thought it was a blown head gasket so i left and went into school to avoid being late. I came out after and tryed starting it but all that was heard was the starter clicking, looked under the hood and the belt for the alt was shreaded, got a new one still not turning over, call in the tow and he tryed to jump it but still just a starter click, so i believe that it over-heated and seized up everything. FML
here the cool thing now, I get to build my 383 stroker now, I wasnt going to build it ill I blew it. So once I get the OFFICIAL word from the mechanics that its dead I'm going to clean out my garage and start ter down
Sorry for the long story

Re: Engine seized
i guess thats cool.. but before spending a load of money on a rebuild, make sure you get that cooling issue fixed.. dont want a new motor to go down because you cant cool it.. also, check out the alternator.. a shredded belt is not common and could be the reason it was low on voltage..

Ya the alternator belt got shredded due to it not being on tight enough I fixed that and the coolant issue or w/e it was, it started right up

Re: Engine seized
The alternator wasnt pulled tight enough to keep the belt tentioned, if that makes sense
