Aluminum head rocker arm bolt hole stripped

I always take my rocker arms off over the winter to avoid weakening the valve springs during storage. I went to put it everything back together today and one of the rocker arm bolt holes in the head is stripped. I went to torque the bolt down on one of my shaft mounted rockers and it wouldn't tighten the threads pulled right out. This is a 7/16-14 hole on aluminum heads. Can I heli coil this safely or should I just take the head off and have a machine shop repair it?

You should be able to helicoil it if you're confident in your ability to get it in straight.
