how hard is it to remove air conditioning

My car is sitting over a half hour away, so I can't go look for myself. But it removing the air conditioning going to be as big a pain in the a## as I'm thinking? The engine is out right now, and I'm not going to be installing an AC pump with the new engine. So, if its not a total bit#h, I'd like to get rid of everything under the hood that I don't need.

Re: how hard is it to remove air conditioning

removing ac isnt hard, its like a 15 mins job, just crack one of the lines, let the refrigerant out (i dont advise that but i cant stop you from doin it either) then just start unscrewing the lines, nothing to really go wrong but make sure the r12 doesnt hit you in the face

theres no refrigerant, theres no pump, just the lines and that big ugly box on the firewall. The big ugly box was the part I was actually wondering about removing
