85 TA TPI 5 cylinders not firing. Checked injectors and they are pulsing. Checked spark and all cylinders have spark. It is odd that it will not fire with spark and fuel.
Have new injectors (ACCEL), ignition module, IAC, New ECM.
Old ECM had no check engine light and would not show diagnostic. ECM would surge injector pulses were dropping out. Install new ECM running fine for about one day. Wouldn’t fire on one cylinder then have keep loosing more cylinders as time went on.
Fuel pressure 43lbs, removed and bench tested a couple of injector working fine. Will be looking at grounds wires tonight and pulsing injector with battery to see if fuel or spark.

 

Any possibility of clogged inlet screens?

 

Two injector I took out I used a microscope to check screen. Did not see anything on the screen. The injector are new ACCELS but one did not have a screen at all. Check with 40lbs pressure and and did not see any problem with the spray. Everyone says it is the HEI. Rebuilt HEI last night new pickup, new module, new coil. Did not fix anything. Spark seems to be red not blue. Shot fuel into throttle body sound like all cylinder will fire.
It looks like a fuel problem. Try manual jumpering injector on one cylinder but still would not fire. Shut car off and watch fuel pressure down when jumpering injector.
Going to disconnect spark plug wires on cylinder that are firing and shoot gas in to the thottle body to see if I can get other ones to fire. This will rule out spark. Will have to remove injectors and clean to see if this helps.

 

Found my problem. Removed all injector. Found two would allow full flow the others were plugged. Fine rust particles plugged screen and nozzle tips. Cleaned with mineral spirts. Tank as a little rust. Going to coat tank with sealer. fuel filter did not stop the small rust particles.
