Did a search, but this is a bit diff in regards to CA SMOG situation...

Just had my 90 firebird (3.1 v6) smog & "E-VAP" repaired. Had a gas leak from the tank gooseneck and top gasket, which both were fixed (i hope) and timing correctly set.

Passed CA smog and fuel pressure (e-vap) test.

While Driving home I noticed a loud constant humming from the rear, not pulsating or changing with engine revs. Drives ok, no probs.

Should I be worried something is wrong? I know these 3gen fuel pumps are noisy, but never had one this loud. Could it be since my fuel pressure was not right before, does this mean its (fuel pump) working the way it should now?

I just don't want to be broken down in the middle of BFE if so.
