Questions about my LG4
So I replaced my spark plugs on my LG4 a few weeks ago. The plugs I took out were fine for the most part. One of the old plugs had a bit of oil on it. I removed and replaced all 8 plugs and drove the car for about 2 weeks. I then realized I didnt gap them before I installed them (I know I know), so I removed each of them to gap them. I noticed that the same cylinder plug had oil on it again, this time after only 2 weeks, even though it was a new plug. So I assume this means I have a slight leak in that cylinder. I don't push any blue smoke and everything seems to run well enough. Any guesses at what is leaking the oil in that cylinder? It's been suggested by friends that it might be a leaky valve?
Another question. Does anyone know what iginition type the LG4 camaros came with? It's a Canadian car so it did NOT come with a computer controlled carb. Would it be an electronicly controlled dist? Mechanical dist? I'm just curious if / how I would check and change the timing. Thanks.

valve seals. How many wires are connected to your distributor? (Not counting the big 8)

Re: Questions about my LG4
Just kidding. You generally don't see just 1 or 2 valve seals fail. Oil could be getting in past the intake gasket, from the lifter valley, orif you had screw-in studs, that went into the intake ports. Oil can get into the intake from the PCV, but it shouldn't show in only 1 cylinder.
