Fuel Tank not venting

So i did a 350 carb swap out of a 2.8 FI. I have a problem when it gets warm it wants to vent through the old line that feeds to the injectors...which spilt gas everywhere. I plugged the line but now I have to keep my gas cap not fully shut or else itll TSSSSSSSS (suppost to be a sound) when I unscrew it.

What can I do? I want to actually use my locking gas cap...

Isnt it normal for your tank to vent when you pull the cap off? I have a locking gas cap and it does it everytime i take it off..always has i thought it was normal?

me too, when ever i take off my cap i hear the hiss, at first i didnt think it was normal because i dont remember other cars that ive filled up doing this, but nothing seems wrong with it, it might also be the pressure in the tanks?

Re: Fuel Tank not venting

Well I was wondering if that means that there is too much pressure in the tank...this is my first "older" vehicle...so I have never had it happen
