MAP Sensor problems?

My 1984 Camaro 5.0 is bogging out still like its getting to much fuel. I have found that it was a fuel problem because my spark plugs keep getting fouled out. So i changed my fuel pump, spark plugs, cap, rotor, ignition module, rebuilt the carb, and replaced some vacuumm lines and it is still doing it. Now Mechanics is not my expertise, i am more talented towards electronics. So I cannot trust my diagnoses 100%. A friend of mine said that it could be my MAP Sensor. It doesnt get power, or at least not its full power, and it burn really rich. Is this a common problem? Or is there something else i could check first before spending money to replace it? I mean its not expensive but if I dont need it then I wont get it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
