cam advice

i plan on rebuilding my motor come fall and im trying to gether all my info early. i know im goona replace the tpi with the HSR. maybe edelbrock performer 64cc heads so about 9.6-1 compression or so. also getting an eagle rotating assembly but am not sure what cam i should do. I know im going with a roller hydraulic cam with roller rockers also, but just not sure which cam. kinda leaning towards something Like the XFI but just looking at your guy's thoughts. thanks.

P.S. NEEDS TO BE STREET LEGAL!!!!!!

try this site for your rotating assembly www.pawinc.com by far the best prices i could find and they are quality stuff also. they will even balance the rotating assembly before shipping it. They also sell cams and a large assortment of parts.

actually the eagle may be slightly better. They have everything but the balancer and flexplate, rated up to 500hp and are internally balanced for $599.99. can get dished or flat top pistons

First before picking a cam you will need to know the weight of the car, the gear ratio, compresion ratio, rpm range of the intake/carb and the trans. Then summit will help you pick a cam for your application. If you choose a cam by sound rather than perfomance your car will fall out of a tree faster than it will take off.

again depends on weight, gears, etc....also what you want to do with car.....I would call comp cams directly, they can be a big help....
