Rebiulding a 350, should I replace the rings?
This motor is out of my boat. The block is cracked from freezing over last Winter. The engine was run a many minutes with the block cracked. It is amazing how much gray milkshake sledge was indie the engine, maybe 12 quarts or more!!!!
I have the entire engine broken down. I guess this is wise to install new rings.

Whenever you tear down an engine you should replace the wear parts. You'll never get them in in exactly the same position as you took them out.
Besides, they're cheap.
