Anyone know what this connector is for??

I just happend to notice I have a loose connector on my passenger side of the Engine bay down with the starter motor.
Anyone knows where this should be connected??

That's a broken connector for either the knock sensor in the block or a coolant switch in the head.
GM sells new pigtails.

It is not for the knock sensor because that sensor have another connector.
Coolant switch on the head you say???..I have to take a look.

What does that sensor do anyway??

High temp/heavy duty fan temperature switch. On mine it's for the secondary fan which isn't computer controlled.

On mine both connectors are the same. Extreme stupidity on GM's part.

Ok..I have only 1 fan on my Camaro and that one is computer-controlled and starts when engine is to hot so I have checked that it is working...
