code 32 after working on car?
Hey guys, first want to say that I appreciate all the advice I have been given on this site. A couple of days ago I had a broke CTS and had a clogged cat, well those have both been fixed. Car did great for a few days, then this morning the ses light comes on again, pull the codes and it shows a 32-Fault in barometric pressure sensor circuit OR Fault in exhaust gas recirculation valve diagnostic switch OR Fault in electronic vacuum regulator valve. Wow, what a mouthful, huh? So what is the common issue here? I did a search, and didnt really like the way most of the threads ended up, nothing really seemed like a similar situation. What do you guys think? What is the normal sounding problem for this situation?

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/elec...-location.html According to this thread, I dont have one? It says carbuerated cars were the only ones to have them.

How big of a pain is it too clean the egr valve? Can it be rebuilt? I dont want to fork out over 100 bucks for one, what happens if I take it off altogether?
Re: code 32 after working on car?
All an EGR valve does is restrict performance for emissions, recirculates unburnt fuel through the combustion process, if you take it off I imagine your check engine light would be on, and you won't be able to pass emissions. If you have the time to get under the engine and take off your manifold, you can clean the EGR valve, use STP carburetor cleaner to clean it.
