Engine overheating
Hi,
My 3.1L is overheating! I can drive it around for a while, but if I sit at a light or am in traffic sitting for a while it starts to overheat?! Its ok as long as I am moving. What is going on? Also, the cooling fan wont kick on unless I turn the air conditioning on! Anybody know what is going on?
Thanks!!

Re: Engine overheating
So your fan won't come on at all when idling? If your AC turns on then we know the fan and relay are working properly so it could be your sensor. This should be close to what you need.

Re: Engine overheating
well i tried the sensor but that wasnt it, seems the ground wire leading to the ecm is possibly faulty or the ecm iteself is faulty....... I guess i will just be turning the AC every now and then until the Lt1 comes in!
