Air/Fuel Gauge question
I have a 88 GTA and installed a Air/Fuel Guage and all it seems to do is jump around from lean to normal to rich to normal to lean is that right is it supposed to do that.

Re: Air/Fuel Gauge question
Well it will fluctuate a little bit, it should not be that drastic.
How does it measure it?
Lambda? if so how much fluctuation between 1.0
If it's off of the stoichiometric 14.7:1 how much fluctuation between that? I'm pretty sure our cars were designed to run lean for emission purposes so it probably would be closer to ~15

Re: Air/Fuel Gauge question
If you paid less than $250 for it, then it's working right and telling you almost nothing. A wideband would be ideal to show exactly the AFR rather than lean/norm/rich.
