tps question....need help fast

My 92 camaro with a 305 tbi and 5 speed starting having problems while running. The idle was fine, but when I would get up in rpm's the car would hesitate, backfire, and the tach needle was bouncing all over the place. I changed the tps sensor thingking that may be the problem, well now the engine is idling at 3000 rpm's and I can't get it down. Is there an adjustment I can do to get it right? Need help now as I am at work and have to be able to get home in the morning.

Re: tps question....need help fast

It may be stuck open. I think I had to use a shim to keep mine from catching on the throttle bore side.
