305 TPI build up.

Hi there...

I have a 87 model Chevrolet Camaro with a 305 TPI engine in it.
The car has the stock engine with the small penaut cam on it.
Only mod I have done to the car is a 3" cat-back system.

Here is my shopping cart at summit so far:

Hooker headers 2055HKR

Accel 8123 Rotor and cap kit ( I need to replace those anyway)

COMP cam 08-302-8 Camshaft.

Catco 9118 High flow catalytic converter

MSD 8.5mm Spark plug wires (need to change those also)

MSD ignition 8226 blaster coil

Summit SUM-174000 Valve spring and retainer kit

I have also bought a porting kit so I am gonna port my stock heads
I have been working at a factory where grinding is a part of my day so I am very familiar with it....

a quick question about the heads. Would changing the valve's gain any torque or power for me?..Since i have TPI i have to focus on the torque i think. That is what is most important for me...

I also want this to be as cheap as possible since I live in Norway because the shipping quotes are HUGE, and we have those stupid tarifs that cost us a lot of money also so I need to think a little bit on how much to spend here...

Does this sound like a good setup for my car?...I have the program called CamQuest from COMP cams homepage. And after putting in my specs as shown above I would be able to get around 300HP and around 410 ft/lbs, I think I am gonna notice some difference on my car then.

1.94" intake valves would help power without hurting torque. 1.60" exhaust valves would also help, but not as much. I assume you're going to do the basic port and bowl clean-up while you're at it.

Okay..I was thinking of valves if that was necessary or what.
Yeah I am going to do the basic port and bowl porting.
gasket matching the intake and the heads was also a part of my plan.

Can you give me some information about valve jobs.
If I want to go for bigger valves, I guess the valve seat must be machined?
Or will they fit the stock dimension?...Is there a special tool I can use to to the valve work or do I need to send them to machine shop?
The machine shops here in Norway are expensive on such jobs so the best bet here is to do as much as possible in my garage...

Really not anyone who could answer me this?
If I want to use 1.94 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves...What do I have to do with the stock valve seats?..
