Broke drill bit when drilling 400 steam holes

Hey all,

So I was drilling steam holes in my new AFR 1040's and I broke the bit off in the head!

Drilling the three outside holes strait down was easy, however the three inside holes have to be drilled at a 30 degree angle. I think I didnt keep the angle strait when I was holding the drill and I snapped the bit off when I was drilling the center inner hole.

So I was wondering what you all think I should do? I was thinking of just leaving it in there. I dont think it will go anywhere and I dont think it will overheat if one hole is missing? I can't really think of any way to get it out.

Any suggestions?!?

Thanks!
Jason

how deep did it break off? There have been times when I'm able to get a tap holder and back it out, other times I've had to use a pointed punch and tap it out, yet other times I've had to just smack it with a punch and break little bits off it at a time.
