motor identification
I have a 91 rs with 5.0 SFL suffix code. I did a little research and found out that this is not the original engine. It is from a 87 camaro. I am wondering what engine it is b/c it has a tbi set up on it. however, in 87 there were not any tbi engines produced that year according to the tech boards. i am wondering if it could be a LB9 or LG4 that was switched over to tbi. I just want to know what i am working with before i spend money.
Thanks, Chris

Re: motor identification
I see no listings for SFL. There's a SFD which is a 1987 305 TPI LB9
I's possible it was switched over to TBI. Since it's now a hybrid, it won't be a LB9, LG4 etc. It's now just a TBI 305.
