Strange starting problem
Hey guys,
After I installed my new injectors (Design III 22 lbs) into my 91 305, I've been having some issues with starting the car. When I first installed them, the car took forever to start, I figured I had done something wrong.
After a month of having them on, I'm still having a problem with starting the engine when warm. It fires almost immediately after its totally cold (overnight in the morning for example) and pretty fast when its hot (5-10 minutes) but if I leave it for a couple hours and come back, it takes about 3 seconds to crank over. I can't really describe the sound it makes; its kind of a "chugging" noise. The revs start out extremely low but climb fast.
And today, out of nowhere, the car wouldn't start after 5 minutes of being off. The starter motor was running really slow and I don't see how it could be a battery issue. After trying a few times and letting it sit for a couple minutes, it eventually started.
Any ideas??
