Distributor placement??

I have recently replaced my intake gaskets i have everything back together but cannot remember how to line up the distributor. i have the #1 cylinder at top dead center but am unsure where the rotor should be pointing when i set it back in. when i removed the cap with the wires i did not mark the #1 wire am i able to run the wires according to the firing order in a clockwise direction around the cap and have the distributor point at the #1 wire? any help would be greatly appreciated. i have a 91 z28 stock 305 Tpi.

Re: Distributor placement??
