Need help with Power Steering
Need help with Power Steering
Not sure whether the power steering is going out or if it just needs fluid. When the wheels are straight, there is a small whinning noise, but when i begin to turn the wheel the whinning noise is loud.
What could it be?

Re: Need help with Power Steering
The whining noise is typically caused by air in the pump, indicating that the fluid level is low. Fill it up to the proper level and the noise should go away shortly.

There is a black cap on the top of the pump, pump is on the left side of the engine, near the front, twist it a quarter turn and it should come off.
