help with smog and vacumm.. It was on fire

i have a 86 firebird with a fairly stout 350 sb with a tpi system i removed the smog pump a few years back. the car caught fire on the way to the body shop and ive been trying to put it back together. any how the question i have is the egr solenoid fried and i want to know if i need it since the smog pump is gone and if i don't need it can i remove the egr completely and if so what do i do about the vacume routing?i also have the edlebrock intake and runners does anyone know what i gain from this

You can remove it and plug the hoses. It will still run fine, but it may a little more prone to pinging. I assume you don't have emissions inspections, right? It will raise your NoX above legal limits.
