Seizied Fuel Pump Push Rod???

Hello I have an 86 305 motor that the fuel pump push rod is completey seized or suck in the block. It currentley runs off a electric fuel pump. My Problem is I want to put a cam into it and when i go to pull the cam out the journal of the cam gets jammed up against the rod. How can i get that rod out without pulling the motor out?

Remove the mechanical FP on the side of the block and the rod should come right out.

The rod is jammed in the block there isn't a mechanial fuel pump there any more it is just a block off plate, and the motor runs off an electric fuel pump. What i'm asking is if anyone knows how to get that rod out without pulling the motor out. I have had vise grips on it and tried to pull it out and have had no sucess.

Re: Seizied Fuel Pump Push Rod???

I got a stuck one out once by rotating it with vice grips applying some heat. The engine was out of the car for that.
