Ok I'm going to keep this as painless as possible and any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have a 91 RS 305 automatic which has run fine for years but sat last winter and now I'm clueless. So here are the symptoms. Headlights work, and dash lights work(with headlights on). But Interior lights, brake lights, door locks, and turn signals all DO NOT work(key or not).I have tried 2 different keys with resistors and get NOTHING. No clicking, turnover, dash lights, or anything(mind you that they all worked fine) and i have tried starting in nuetral.

12.3 at the battery, the starter has been bench tested and is fine, and i get 12.3 there also when all connected. Cleaned all corrosion on wires, Still nothing. All I can think is ignition switch, Vats(which i dont even know if i have on my car) or some just bumf*cked wiring? I dont know a ton about cars, but some from working on the slomarro so often. Any help would be great. thanks gents

 

Did you check for blown fuses. The lights not working has nothing to do with vats. If u have a chip vin the key then you have vats. Do a search on vats and you should find how to bypass the system. Its not hard to do, actually i think there is a article in the tech section of this site

 

I do have a chip in the key so i guess i do have vats. I recall checking the fuses and none were blown but i am going to double check and get back to ya. Thanks for the help.
