I'm looking for the peice that holds the throttle cable on but I don't know the official name of it. I've calling it the throttle cable retention pin but I get weird stares when I call it that. Does anone know the official name for it and where I can get one? right now it's just held on by a twisted peice of wire.

I believe those are called cotter pins. Unless it's some kind of super special part I've never seen before.
