90 firebird wont start.
90 firebird wont start.
ok so i had it running for a little bit on some old gas to try to get rid of the bad gas so i could put some fresh gas in it. it ran out of gas n so i put fresh gas in it. now it starts for 5 second then dies but if i pump the accelerator i can get it to stay on for like 30 seconds but it still dies. i think its the fuel filter is clogged up. i hav a new one but where SPECIFIALLY is it on the car. N is that wat yall think it is?

The fuel filter on a '90 fuel injected car (TBI included) is located in the rear of the car, near the fuel tank. it's mounted transversely (parallel to the rear axle, and perpendicular to the drive shaft). Remember you need to relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel system before you perform this swap.
Are you sure you put enough "fresh gas" in and the "old gas" isn't the culprit, because after all that is what you were trying to flush the system with.

I put in ten gallons of new gas with some carb/injector cleaner. i tried to start it for like an hour so all the old gas should hav been flushed out by the new stuff right?

Well you need to understand that you need to burn the fuel before it will be gone.
You can sit there for hours trying to start your car and your battery or maybe even your starter will go before you will ever deplete your fuel supply.
