alignment pins in head and block ?

Engine: 350 needs work
Transmission: 700r4 needs work
alignment pins in head and block ?
I recently purchased a set of 083 heads from a member on here. The problem is the pins for alignment on hte block are also in the heads. My guess is the pins should be in the block.Could anyone tel me how to get these out of the heads so i can install my heads. I tried to pull them out with pliers but they will not move.

If you can't do it with vise grips, you'll have to take the heads to any automotive machine shop
