What to do????
I am currently serving yet another tour in Iraq but before I left the states I purched a 92 Camaro RS. Currently I have the 305 auto but I am looking for more power. I have a HO 454 w/400 turbo trans that a friend and fellow third gen camaro lover gave me out of his old 89 Z28. I have another friend who before we left purchased a 87 Vette and offered to give me the L98 out of it with Trans. I was wondering if I could get some mentorship on which would be the easier way to go. Getting the most for the dollar and how hard is the changeover going to be. I want something I can cruise around in but lay waste to some competition when called for. I am leaning towards the L98 but open for suggestions.
Thanks,
John

If you want to lay waste to the competition, then either 454 or L98, My vote goes 454, but If I was you I would sell the 454 and look for a LTX/LSX. you get fairly big power, with good driveability, and less installation headache of the BB.

Re: What to do????
That is actually what I have been concidering.I do not have any history working on 454's but alot of 350 and 305 work. Thank you for your suggestion. I have been lucky to get these motors for free and may be able to sell them to help fund my upgrade. The 454 has been bored 40 over and when dynoed in the last car it was in was pushing just under 700 horse. I am afraid it may take more financially to get the car to handle it a a whole than my military pay will allow. LTX/LSX is a very good option thanks again.
