Engine whistling when revved

Today I went to start the car my battery was toast, charged it, got it started, ran for about 4-5 mins. When i was standing in front of the engine revving it via the TB, I noticed a whistling noise. My engine has always sounded like this, but i didnt think anything of it until today. im thinking now it may be a vacuum leak. The only way i can describe the sound, is that it sounds like a supercharger sound/whining sound. What do you guys think. I watched some vids on youtube, and it seems like there is some whistling from other peooples engines, but mine gets really loud especially at higher RPMS. I have a vid that i took of it, that ill post on youtube, but i need to convert it first.

Also i have been fighting with a code 33/34 for a while now. I have tried everything, but the CEL still comes on. Today when i got the car started, the CEL didnt come on? The only thing i can think of is that when i unplug the battery to clear the codes i take off the pos instead of the neg. would that make a difference?

Re: Engine whistling when revved

A bit of a whistle is normal. My LT1 does it, as well as my carb'd engines. Just the sound of air being pulled through the throttle blades at a high speed is all.

Re: Engine whistling when revved

When I put a gator-back belt on my Jeep it started to make a small whistling noise.
