90' 3.1 liter dies at high rpm...then hard start

Was driving the car to work this morning...it only has 19K original miles on it. I went to pass a car got up to 5K rpms and the car died. I pulled over and it restarted no problems. I got about another 20 miles down the road, went to pass a car, came up on the rpms and the car died completely again. However this time it would not start.

After cranking and cranking but being careful not to kill the battery or over work the starter....the car finally started and was missing pretty bad. There is a shop next to my work and I drove it there. It ends up that it is a dead #1 fuel injector. Shop states that a dead fuel injector will fault/short the computer and all effects the rest of the injectors. So for anybody that has a similar issue check your injectors.

How I know that he is not mistaken. He test fuel pressure, and check'd everything spark related. Then showed me with the #1 fuel injector connected that the car would not start, with it disconnected starts and runs...even on 5 cylinders.

I know the ignition control module can go bad on these cars...but do yourself a favor and check the fuel injectors too. For $80 I know what my problem is...and don't have to put up with anymore headaches of trying to figure out the OBD I electrical gremlins...I have none of these troubles with my LS OBD II cars. They give you a code for everything.
