my 94 z runs great for 3-4 minutes 2 miles or so then runs rich ,blacks up the tips of the exh bad, acks like a carb.style engine with a stuck float or choke. i tried a new mass air flow sensor today, with no change if anything it ran worse,ive never had a injected engine/computer controlled before.we did have trouble getting the scan tool obd 1 to read the codes but it did work ,could a o2 sensor cause this, ever since i hooked up a rich lean gauge ive had problems with it running bad after a little while,even with the gauge disconnected no change any ideas ? please help

 

Have you checked your air filter? If the electronics and sensors are fine, then that could be the only cause of it running rich.

 

Your biggest bet is to look at some of the 4th gen sites. This site is dedicated to the 82-92 third gen F-Body's.
