to help me prime the oil pump??? I tried to do it the way my bf told me to but I don't have the hand strength to keep the drill steady (carpel tunnel syndrome is a biotch)...the car is an 87 trans am with a 350, TPI. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Can we assume assembly lube was used throughout? Or, was this just an oil pump replacement?

Either way, the advantages of priming are next to nil. Drop the distributor in (not hooked up electrically), with the spark plugs out spin the engine over with the starter until you have pressure. Install plugs, hook up distributor electrically, fire it up.

 

he's being a jerk, to put it politely...he's refusing to help...this is my first build, he built the motor and yes lube was used...he told me to get the priming tool and a drill and have at it...I tried it, and cuz of the carpel tunnel, my hand was stuck lol...I can't even hardly grip my steering wheel on my other car now lol.

But ill try that tomorrow, I'm so ready to drive this beast again, I miss the hell out of it lol
