A couple general questions...
A couple general questions...
Ok I'm replacing my head gasket myself and i'm pretty much done except for a few things that i need help on. first thing is i need to know which plug on the distributor goes to which spark plug. Second, i didn't mark where all the vacuum lines go so if you could post a link for a diagram or something that would be awesome. And third, i can't figure out how the all the brackets on the passenger side of the engine go to properly mount the alternator.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
The distributor cap terminal the rotor is pointing to when the engine is in the #1 firing position is the one that the #1 spark plug wire goes to. (I'm not being a wise guy, the message is it doesn't matter which terminal it is on the cap, it matters which one on the cap the rotor is pointed to.)
By the way, "#1 firing position" and "top dead center" aren't the same thing.
There are some vacuum diagrams in a thread on the FAQ forum.
Try a search on the bracket question. I know there are pics in the "father/son swap project" sticky in the Engine Swap forum, but I couldn't tell you where in that long thread to look.
