So my camaro has been pullin some weird nonsense on me in the past couple days. It seems that whenever I hit a decently sized bump on the right side of the car, my radio shuts off for a second, comes back on, but at the same time the whole car kind of stutters. A couple times it has been so bad that the car bucks back and forth and completely stalls out. A quick clutch drop in first and I'm started again, but on one occasion it kept bucking and just stalled right out again. I jumped it again then it bucked a little but got back to running normal. It also seems that i can cause the problem by flooring it in first. I have absolutely zero idea what is going on here. Any help at all is appreciated. BTW its a TBI 350 and 5-speed

 

Maybe battery connections ground wire ?

 

i thought that might have been the problem but the connections are clean and tight, so i don't think that's it.

 

Checked the diagnostic system and its giving me a code 32 which is for the EGR valve so I don't really know if the Egr would really get affected by bumps like that but i'll change it out and see what happens.

 

sound like a wiring harness issue, like it's grounding out somewhere mid-car.. my old truck had the same issue

 

Sounds wierd , But I would pull the radio and make sure there isn't a loose wire making contact behind the radio, I had it happen to me before almost like you described. Hit a bump radio goes out and car stalls

 

I found the culprit. Right in front of the dizzy and behind the air cleaner there was a wire with the insulation stripped off. Guess when i hit a bump the air cleaner housing was hitting it causing a short and every now and again it was big enough to force a stall. Taped it up and problem solved. Thanks for the help guys.
