Direct Mount Fuel Pressure Gauge

I am just wondering if this gauge can be mounted to the schrader valve on the TPI fuel rail. Personally, I think $70+ for the Accel one is ridiculous.

No; the valve thread is -4AN , not NPT.
For a TPI you need a right angle adapter so gauge can clear plenum

If you buy a inline gauge fitting it will allow you to mount the gauge at right anges to clear

Re: Direct Mount Fuel Pressure Gauge

vetteoz beat me to it. I was thinking this:

http://www.eraceware.com/earl-s-performance-968604-4-ga-adpt-to-1-8-stl-90d-118827.html

Looks simpler and it appears to be coated so I wouldn't have to worry about rust.

Now, one more question. I'd rather get this gauge than the 100psi one:

http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/41012/10002/-1

It says right on the Jegs website that the 100PSI gauge must be used for EFI applications, but I know that TPI should never go as high as 60 PSI. So would there be any problem using the 60PSI gauge over the 100PSI gauge? The reason I'd rather have the 60 is because looking at it compared to the 100 PSI the 60 looks like it can give a more accurate reading.

But now whats this business about removing the plenum

Need a AN male to NPT male , not an female. You need to mount the gauge at rt angles because by the time you fit the adapter there will be no room under the vac fittings to fit the gauge
60 psi gauge is fine

Revisit the link in my previous post. I updated it with a new right angle fitting. It's being stupid on my computer so if it redirects to pegasusautoracing when you click it then copy and paste it into the browser.

On the Jegs website, it says that each gauge comes with a "male" NPT fitting. So if the fitting on the gauge is male NPT and the fuel rail is female -4AN once the valve is removed, then I should need a male to female adapter.

You dont remove the valve holder from the rail; only the valve itself from inside. That leaves the fitting which is -4AN male
The thread into the rail itself is probably metric and impossible to match up.
