cylinder heads
Putting a 355 in an 86 Z28. Motor is nothing special, cast pistons, "X" rods, new steel crank, Comp 268H (218/218 .454/.454), older Performer intake with a Carter AFB Carb (not sure on CFM).
I have 3 heads choices:
Ported 882's
Stock 14022801
Stock 14102193
I believe the 14022801's have smaller valves than the others so I think I'm leaning away from those. This is just a street car, so maybe the 882's would be best....
Has anyone built a combination close to this? I'm thinking my best bet, performance wise, is to port the 14102193, any suggestions?

Re: cylinder heads
Aren't those all open chamber heads?
My ported/milled 882's do pretty well.
I've heard that 193's can make some respectable torque though.

Re: cylinder heads
With that cam, the 882s aren't going to show any advantage over the 193s. The 193s will give more compression.

Re: cylinder heads
What kind of compression are you guys running with the 882's? I'm thinking my compression is going to be very low (8:1-8.5:1) with them.....
