Pain in the butt TA... with 350
Last time we had a meet ,I was on my way home and the TA started acting funny,
like it was missing. Thank God I made it home!
The next day, I popped the hood to see what the problem was. I found that two of the bolts for the TB were loose.
Tightened them down thinking maybe it was running lean. Took it out for a test drive, still wasn't correct.
Went back too the house, shut it off, and went inside. Came back out 10 min later to pull it to the back where the tools are,
and then it wouldn't start. So after playing with it for a few min more with out any luck, I decided to spray a shot of starting fluid in it
and it fired up. Got it to the back were the tools are . Has to be something wrong with the fuel. Did all the tests on the fuel system and injectors.
Thats all fine. So I don't think its the vats as the injectors check out fine.
So I called someone to ask their opinion, and they suggested may be the coil ,Ignition Control Modules,or alternator
As I went to check this, I noticed where the Distributor was loose, so heres another problem.
I replaced the coil and had the alternator tested and found it was fried so I replaced it,
and still have the same problem. And now adding the problem that its also out of timing.
Now looking for a little direction on what could cause this or where I can find some c4
to fix it for good!
