I have a 89 Firebird 305 tbi. Lately my car has had some trouble starting. It would turn over for about 15 seconds then fire up and run great. Well the other day the car would not start after school, Well I wasnt getting any spark so i replaced the ignition coil, after this the car ran great. Next night the car does the same exact thing at my girlfriends house, so i was thinking it might be a fuel issue so i replaced the fuel filter, the car ran amazing, it fired up right away and seemed to even gain some power, on my way home that night the car started cutting out and eventualy stalled leaving me to be towed home for the 2nd time this week. what would be my problem? a fuel pump? pressure regulator? or is it something else that im not thinking of?

without some more details as to how the car was acting, I can't really get into it but.... Does your car still have it's cat? If so, may be clogged. Skipped tooth on the timing chain could be an issue too.

Dude, that sounds exactly like an ignition control module!
