1985 trans am wont start. At first we thought it was the alternator because when you could jump it if you touch anything electrical in the car the battery gauge would go down and when you turn the a/c on high the car turns off. We brought the alternator into advance and they said it was good. We put the alternator back in the car and tried to jump it and we couldnt even start it. The battery is only a few months old. When you are not hooked up to another car there is zero power in the car and when you hook it up to a car you get full power but the motor will not turn all the way. Please help... How can I find out what the 350 thats in the car was previously in.
