PCV system...

Just was wondering what people where using for this system. My car had the simple little breather caps on the valve covers but was considering going with a newer style system. Maybe find a vac line on the intake and put a pcv valve somewhere and pump the gases back into the intake? The stupid breather filters cost me 10 each... Didn't know if the newer system being put on cars was alot more effective or if the difference was so minimal that it would be worth my time? Just curious

The "newer " system has been around since the '70's.Yours is not stock.

Using vac to draw the fumes out of the engine is more efficent than just allowing them to dump out on their own
PCV valve fits in a grommett in one cover

Re: PCV system...

heh, didn't know that. Thought they started that around 90s or so. Kinda figured it might have had that once but wasn't sure. All I need to do is use the vac line to dump the gases somewhere in the intake right? Can you tee off a vacuum secondary line or brake booster line or need to find a separate vac source? Sorry, just don't know a whole alot on this.
Thanks
Zach
