need help vs pulling tank on 87 firebird with 305 carb eng. have asked questions on carb but looking more towards other problem . bought car with hesitation problem off idle previous owner replaced carb with rebuilt. removed carb disassembled found lip seal on accelator pump good replaced it. replaced fuel pump at eng found when attaching lines back to pump the return line had volume coming out kinda excessive. it even primed carb up . now after vehical sits over night must crank 8 -10 times to start lossing prime.member sugested well plugs in carb [but loss of prime completely blows that idea out?] blew air thru both lines to tank when pump was off no obstruction. ordered electric fuel pump relay need electric pump for tank planed on removing tank but reading forum sounds like quite a job is 87 as difficult as camaro? read even that member cut filler neck off vs droping real axel? also have vacume in tank when opening cap[new one coming] looking for recomendations vs pulling tank recommendations on pulling tank on 87 firebird???

 

You're sure the well plugs aren't leaking?

 

update first thanxs for all sugestions of well plugs supply pump in tank but loss of acellerator pump action and loss of prime ended up being a faulty relay for suppy pump thats what happens when all your other pontiacs are qjeted and mechanical pump feed only . never to old to learn!
