seaform need some help please
hi well iv been hearing about this seaform stuff and just wondering exactly how do you use this? where can you buy this stuff, does it really work, and whats the adverge price for this? do you think i need this stuff, i just got my camaro running about 4months ago and they cleaned the fuel injectors, gas tank, and some other stuff because the car was siting outside for 5yrs with a full tank of gas never started in those 5 years and its a 305tpi/auto 87 iroc with 27k miles so do you think i need this or not? can you give me the exact directions on using this stuff and do you just pour it in the TB and the gas tank? thanks guys

Just don't put it into your intake manifold.
People have hydro locked countless engines trying to do the seafoam thing through the TB. A few years ago it looked like seafoam was going to get slapped with a class action law sute but it never happened as far as I know.

Some people swear by that stuff but I've heard some nightmare stories too. If you decide to do just make sure you know exactly what your doing. If you've already cleaned pretty much your whole fuel system I wouldn't take the chance.

I bought a motorcycle that was sitting for 2+ years - it would start and run, but was rough, and the gas smelled like varnish. I topped off the tank, put in appropriate amount of Seafoam in, and burned 3 tanks this way, and after that she ran like brand new for the next 2 years until I sold it.

I seafoamed my engine once but it didnt make a noticeable difference but it is a great cleaning solvent. i used it on my runners and throttle body when i did my injector swap. I just sprayed the runners real good and used a brush with a flexible handle. the seafoam turned the 1/8 inch of black gunk into something like mud and i just scrubbed and rinsed. still cant say that made a difference but at least they're shiny on the inside now

Re: seaform need some help please
seafoam can make a big difference........ it's just a cheap upper intake cleaner. about 10$ for the can.
whoever hydro locked an engine off the tiny little bit of liquid you are suppose to be using (read the can) lied.......
now personally how i run mine is dump half the bottle in through a vacuum port slowly while engine is running, then dramatically pour the rest in the same vacuum source as before. I always use the brake booster hose because it fits the bottle perfect. When you pour it in fast the engine automatically stalls out.... let it sit 15 minutes hold your throttle slightly open and start your car. Be ready to see smoke, like a chipped diesel puts off for the next 10 miles......
i like the stuff anyways. makes a huge difference if you've never ran it on an old used engine.

Re: seaform need some help please
Use 1/3 of the bottle into the carb/throttle body. Unscrew the cap, and peel just a bit of the inner liner up just enough to be able to turn the can upside down and shake the liquid into the carb. Just sprinkle it in, but not enough to affect the idle.
Put the other 2/3 into the gas tank.
It can also be used in the oiling system. I'm trying to kill off a noisy lifter.
