Am I wasting my time?

I am currently getting ready to stroke my MAF TPI motor and add 1041 AFR heads and a 576/570 XFI comp cam. Will I be able to gain with this setup? I have been doing some searches and am more confused than ever about the maf and ecm not being able to read any more than 420 horse power. Should I just ditch the tpi and carb it. I REALLY REALLY wanna keep the TPI set up and make it scream but I dont wanna spend $3000 and not be able to tell any more performance than I have with my modded 350 now. The one place I havent touched is the ecm and prom. So am I wasting my TIME?????? Or am I going to see a BIG differance with the AFR's XFI cam and 400 crank??????

The maf can compensate for various performance parts, to an extent..... but to get the most of your mods, you will need to do some prom tuning, either get the equipment, and do it yourself, or, find, and pay someone else to do it.

The major problem with TPI... is on a 350, it basically runs out of breath at 5000 RPM, or thereabouts. With some mods, it can do some pretty serious power though. Have a look at the stickied thread on better flowing TPI.
