fuel pump died, need help!!
So I was about to leave my g.f's house Sunday night when I got to start the car and it would just crank over and over. I noticed no fuel was being sent into the TBI and i could not hear the fuel pump primeing when I turned the key either. Thinking the relay went bad I replaced it and still no luck. I checked all of the wires with my connection tester and all 5 wires from the relay were getting the desired amount of power needed so long and behold its the fuel pump. I plan on dropping the rear and tank tom (yay) and takeing out the pump. My question is once I get past all the difficult stuff, how hard is it to change the fuel pump from the whole sender unit? Is it difficult swapping it out or is it straight foward? Any help will be appreciated I have never done anything like this and really dont want to bring it to the shop.

It is largely Dependant upon your mechanical skills. It is time consuming but fairly basic. You should plan on a weekend, lots of beer, and a punching bag to relieve stress.
All kidding aside. If you have basic mechanical skills, do searches on this site for the procedure, label parts, and take your time you should be fine. Make sure you have a helper though to help get the gas tank back in and drain as much gas beforehand as you can.
I do not have the links but there is plenty of information on the site.

Re: fuel pump died, need help!!
wild is right, its pretty straight forward. First time I replaced a fuel pump it took me about a whole day. The hard part is getting the fuel tank out. The fuel pump is just clamped down to the fuel sending unit. Just unbolt the hold and bolt in the new and connect the 2 wires. Then reverse everything...
