Re: nitrous or no??

What pistons? If they're just stock cast ones, a 125 shot would be fine. What do you need? A nitrous kit that'll work with your engine. If you get a kit that's adjustable, start out small and work your way up. Stock nitrous jetting (at least for NOS) is pretty damn safe and you'd have to do something really stupid to hurt something.

Re: nitrous or no??

Just ask at the parts counter for 1 step colder plug. I'd really recommend going with NGK plugs, tons of fast nitrous guys use them and they're easy to read. Try and get a wet nitrous kit, that'll take care of the extra fuel.

Re: nitrous or no??

Go a step colder on the plug and run a plug WITHOUT an extended tip. For instance, if you are normally running an R44ts AC drop down to an R43t.

Re: nitrous or no??

my 87 TPI (305 140,xxx mi) ran fine with a 125 shot. I did run the NGKs colder plugs. I have a wet kit. But if you plan to run a shot that big, make sure your fuel pump can handle it. I swapped to a Walbro...

Re: nitrous or no??

wet throwns in fuel with the nos making a better safer nos system
since you have fi the easy cheap way is a zex kit there really safe and easy to work with and dont cost as much as the other brands.

things that i suggest.
colder plugs
injectors if you dont run a wet set up (stock injectors will deal with a big shot but safer to upgrade)
bigger fuel pump (255) make sure it is a boost and nos pump there is a na 255
fuel press reg and pressure guage
time to install

some kind of ignition upgrade, exhaust and headders make it worth it.

do you plan to do any other modds?? what does your car have right now?
i run nks in out boosted hondas with no problems and thats up to 30+psi of boost.

Re: nitrous or no??

yea most of your fuel pumps are made buy walbro and they are really good. they replace your stock unit. they come with everything to do the swap. all you do is change the plug in connectors and filter.

you can also get a kennebell or a vortech boostapump. i would just change the one in the tank.
the wet kit just makes it easer to tune and work with and yes usually you dont need to change the injectors since it sprayes enough fuel to deal with.

what i would do is just get a easy kit like zex and a wide band and run it and see what works for the car. we are all on a budget and every car is diffrent. start at a small shot and work your way up. the modds you have now will work fine with a good shot.
