L31 Fuel pump lobe?
L31 Fuel pump lobe?
I was thinking about getting the 3/4-1 ton truck version (4-bolt, better exhaust seats) of an l31 Goodwrench crate engine. http://sdpc2000.com/details/gm-goodw...gines/12530283 My question is whether or not the cam has a fuel pump lobe? Will I want to use a bronze tipped pump push rod, and what kind of distributor gear for the roller cam?

Re: L31 Fuel pump lobe?
Some of the cams Do have the fuel pump lobe, but not all of them you would have to get info on your cam. Also the L31 does not have the fuel pump rod hole drilled completely out, but it only has the castings left at the back of the hole. So you could drill it the rest of the way if needed.

Aww, this sucks. Was hoping to use my new original style steel fuel line that works perfectly with the q-jet. I could run an electric pump, but for the price i'm just better off with the Year One 350
