Major Malfunction

Major Malfunction
I have an 85 TA with the 305 carbed.
I stored the car starting at the beginning of winter, then could not get to the car for a good two months or so (I was planning on starting the car every now and again so I didnt add any treatment to the gas or anything). I then tried to start the car and it made this sort of angry whistling noise. I was thinking it was the carburetor as it was messed up and the choke had to be held open by a piece of metal as it did not work at all.
So then I recently bought a 600cfm holley carb with vacuum secondaries and an electric choke. I installed the new carb and tried to start the car and it made the same whistling sound.
We started the car again and it made the sound. I revved the engine twice and shut off the car. I turned it back on and it made the same sound and then when I pressed the gas, the car turned off by itself. After that I got out and noticed a giant pool of water. It was all under the car and I could not pinpoint the problem area. However, if you look at the car from the front, the leak came somewhere from the top left side.
When the car was started the last time, it idled at 1500 rpms and the oil pressure was between 30 and 60. I did not adjust the carb at all.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Bump.
I have looked all over and talked to a couple of different guys about it and still no solution.
Also, it never made this sound before, only after it was stored for winter.

Re: Major Malfunction
It may be that the water pump has failed. They typically leak when that happens. The sound was probably the bearing in the pump.

Re: Major Malfunction
Remove radiator cap see if there is any coolant in it, but don't fill just watch when the engine is running and if the pump is working coolant should flow out of the tubing from the right side (standing in front) after the thermostat opens up.
If the radiator is full you should see the coolant flow from right to left.
"Giant pool of water," or did you mean coolant? if it freezes there in the winter all water should have been drained before storing the car.
And, yes most likely it is the WP bearing leaking.
