383 Reliabilty?

I have a 383 that was built to very tight specifications and has around 900 miles on it. Hasnt broken in yet (has chromoley rings). How long do you think the engine will last if driven relatively easy?

Re: 383 Reliabilty?

My 350 is at 210,000 miles are still runs as good as day 1...LITERALLY! I've lost 1mpg, from the factory rating & she starts withing 1 revolution of the crankshaft.

That being said.....

Your 383 is no different. Treat it right, keep it up good & it could last you 200,000+ miles too. Chances are, your engine was built with closer attention to it assembly specs than my factory, mass-produced 350 was.
