305 to 350 swap question!?!

doin a 305 to 350 swap in my 86 iroc. I realize most everything is the same seeing as they are both small blocks, but i have a question about the torque converter? Am i going to have to change it? I dont have any specs on them. They both are stock converters as far as I know. Would i benefit from using one than the other...the 305 or the 350 TCC. It's a 700r4 trans. Also, other than the TCC, is there anything I might run into that would give me a challenge compatibility wise?

No you do not need a TC unless you upgrade to a performance cam ..you will need to FLASH your eprom..the 305 settings are very tame!! compared to the 350 you will also Need 24# injectors the 305 has 19# <> 350 24#

86 doesn't have a eprom.Will require custom tune or 350 MAF memcal.
Need correct 350 MAF knock sensor ; 305 is different

Sorry Yes the memcal is a EPROM<<<!! it's not a EEPROM like my conversion or many others

My bad for not mentioning. It;s a carbureted setup. My 350 has a slightly mild cam in it. An edelbrock performer plus cam. This should be ok to use with the stock TCC, right?

All you need is some way of engaging the convertor lockup; manual switch, etc
